Hi helen,
When we started all of us did not live in West Roxbury. The core group had been involved with a young children's play goup in WR. In the begining there were Roslindale, West Roxbury , Dedham and Brookline members, hence many "loose ends" on a map. Currently we have members in WR, Needham, Roslindale, Framingham, Dover occaisionally a "lapsed "member from Norfolk joins in. (An even greater array of "loose ends". )The book "Ladies of the Club", over 1000 page novel popular in the mid '80's, was instrumental for the early enthusiasm of joining a club. Thanks for asking!

ok, so how did you come up with the name "society of loose ends'. After 20 years, I would be interested in hearing the history of your group.

We meet 1 time per month( not in the summer) at each others homes on a Sun night. As people leave we introduce new members. It has been a few years since the last addition. Part of the size limitations has to do with the quantity of seating in the living rooms.,7-8 usually fit well, when all 10 are there (rarely) it can be a bit squished.
